How can we be so sure of the outcome that we have no fear, that our faith is as strong as reality?

Simple… Hear from heaven.

Jesus knew the outcome of Lazarus situation, because He heard from the Father. He knew the future! He knew that Lazarus would not end up dead no matter what because He heard God proclaim it! When we know the future by the voice of God Himself, we can walk boldly in faith!

Okay, but how do we hear from heaven? We must listen. Jesus spent much of His time on Earth alone in communion and communication with the Father. Jesus probably had been told of Lazarus already during prayer. That’s why He could answer so quickly and boldly. He knew because He listened.

So faith comes by hearing from God. And hearing from God requires listening. That’s the formula. That’s how we can walk boldly forward, how we can stand in the face of impossible odds. We can, when we know. We know when we hear. We hear when we listen.

Get alone with God and listen. Hear from heaven. Then walk in what you hear.
